Character Profile #24: Xanthe

In “Hellas and the Theohedron,” Xanthe is a fierce warrior among the Amazons. She is fearless, brave, and unwilling to back down from a fight. When it comes to making decisions, she tends to have an abrasive one-track mind. She respects Penelope’s leadership, but does not hesitate to question decisions she disagrees with.

Xanthe is a classic Amazonian. She grew up learning to have men, viewing them as the enemy. She loathes the idea of an alliance with any man and is quite upfront about it with Penelope.

Xanthe is the most militant of Penelope’s group when it comes to men. She doesn’t trust them. She is looking for an excuse to humiliate any man both verbally and physically. Yet amid her intense disdain for males, she is loyal to Penelope and will go along with her…unless she deems otherwise.

Join Xanthe along with the other Amazons on quest through the Hellenic lands, where monsters, witches, corrupt kings, novice seamen, and zombies await. Who would have thought that one inconvenient mishap could lead to bizzare experiences only mentioned in myths and legends.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight from Xanthe. In a world of gods and monsters, it’s not easy being an Amazonian in the Hellas.
